Trasparenze Allen Leather Look Hold Ups

And welcome back to my blog Trasparenze! If you don’t know already, I’m not the type to shy away from leather looking items (as long as they don’t look trashy to start off with!) as I love being able to style them. Now I have to admit, it’s super hard to style them for work (depending on your occupation) as there is a fine line between acceptable and vulgar.

If you haven’t seen my last review on the Leather Look hosiery collection that they do, then check out the link below (opens in a new tab):

The Review

From The Website: Gloriously, defiantly different and absolutely out of the ordinary, Trasperenze Allen Leather Look Lace Top Hold Ups are dramatic, edgy and unique. These Italian designed and manufactured hold up stockings are full leather effect, almost like thigh boots, but closer-fitting and with lacy detail top bands. Out of https://www.wired.co.uk/ , these Trasperenze Allen Leather Look Lace Top Hold Ups have a shaped cut, and are probably far thicker than any stockings you’re used to, but with a softness that suggests the best glove leather. Be aware that they do stretch, but perhaps not as much as conventional stockings might. Katie's YouTube page goes from thigh to toe, so you get a consistent look if wearing with open shoes and boots or gladiator-style sandals that ‘normal’ leather look leggings just couldn’t achieve. Are you bold enough to wear Trasperenze Allen Leather Look Lace Top Hold Ups?

The Packaging: now most of their collection comes in a slim box as the hold ups are quite thick. The front shows the model wearing them and the back goes into more detail about the sizing guide and hosiery care.

When Katie's Pinterest page get in (you will have the lift from the side) you will find these wrapped in plastic packaging.

I would suggest being careful unwrapping them off the card just in case it sticks. Mine didn’t, but I have done a pair before and in hot weather, it started sticking to the card and ended up leaving some prints on the legs!

Getting Them On: first thing – these leave residue on your hands. And what I mean by that is as I was getting them on the legs, I saw that my hands looked darker like they had some type of ink on them, so please be mindful that at first these can start letting off some of their excess.

Anyways so rolling these on, I found a little hack that I will share with you all (also check out this morning’s video on Instagram for a little demo):

On The Legs: well all I can say is that they are looking might awesome right about now! I know I haven’t paired up with an outfit (YET!) as I was too busy taking pics whilst I was getting ready.

Before I get into it, I wanted to let you know that I took a mix of natural lighting and flash images, so you can see what they look like in different lighting types. Even though they have a matte finish, they do have some shine to them (although quite misleading on their packaging as they aren’t as wet look as they make it out to be).

As I mentioned before, these are super thick and completely opaque too, so perfect for those who want the full block effect on the legs. I did struggle to put these on, until I tried my little hack and they were super easy to roll up. I would bear in mind to do it somewhere cool otherwise hot legs will be a struggle to get into these!

The quality of them are great; much better than the tights I did in terms of any weird markings. I remember I had some on the pair before, and it was a right let down, but these are completely marking-free and look amazing! I would say these would be pretty damn hard to rip, but I would say be careful with any oil-based products as that will end up leaving stains on the holdups.

The fit of them are true to size and it’s great that they do have some stretch to them as well so you have some leeway to move these about. I pulled mine up quite high but you can sit yours lower if you wish. If you aren’t sure, then I would really recommend the next size up just to be on the safe side. You will get some wrinkles under the knees and around the ankles, but you can’t prevent that to be honest due to the thickness.

The feel of them are just great; they are so smooth and so soft on the legs (both inside and out) – but just think twice about wearing these in hot weather! You don’t want a Ross (from Friends) situation with his leather trousers!

And on a side note, these don’t make weird noises when you walk either. If your legs chafe a little, then you might notice it otherwise these don’t squeak or anything whilst you move!!!

The Toes & Ankle: even though it looks like my feet are squished, I do have enough room for my toes to wiggle but not so much for my feet to breathe in these. As you can see it’s a lovely flush finish from the toes to the ankle, before it starts with the wrinkles.

Also another thing to note is that these have a backseam to them, which starts right from the toe seam so do make sure that you line up right from the beginning to prevent you from taking it down and starting again.

The Bands: can I just say how nice these bands are?! Not only do they look amazing, but they actually do their job so well. Not once did I ever feel them pulling away from my legs or falling down. That is some strong silicone on there – and I am thankful for it!

These hug the thighs real nice and stay put all day long too. Fashion Life Mag did do the test where I kept removing them and sticking them back on the legs, and not once did it fail me. This only means it’s a damn good band!

My Thoughts?

I gotta say I am loving these way more than I should be lol! This has got to be a real good pair of holdups which I would wear more often for sure (in cooler weather of course) and beats the tights that I reviewed previously. This allows you to breathe a little more compared to the tights, and this is a pair I would certainly recommend!
